Ultimate Deep Drop Setup.
7'3" Black Hole Silk rod rated to PE8/JM PE7 & Jigging Master PE7 Reel
The rod weighs only 9.3 oz. It is super light for the rating as GLoomis Pelagic rod rated to 50 lb weighs 18 oz.
The total weight of rod/reel is 37 oz and you can jig for golden tile or wreckfish all day. The rod should be great for cod jigging in deep water.
I will test the rod for golden tile tomorrow and post the report.
