New Carpenter Lures

Carpenter Strike Eagle 150-245mm FG-MD

The Strike Eagle SE150–245mm FG-MD combines Carpenter’s low-center-of-gravity FG design with a more direct swimming action.

Carpenter places the MD configuration between the N and H types in ease of diving. Field testing of the SE150 FG series has produced large GT and hiramasa, making it an exciting option for offshore casting.

Carpenter recommends approximately 15g per hook for this model.

Carpenter KLL Gamma y200-270mm

A large floating presentation for GT and tuna.

The KLL Gamma γ200–270 features a substantial 270mm profile and Carpenter’s Gamma-jerk presentation. Adjust your stroke length, speed, and pauses to match your tackle and fishing conditions.

Carpenter’s official catch records include a 43kg GT caught on the KLL γ200 in Okinawa.

Carpenter Bluefish 160-235mm FG-N & FG-L

Big-bait presence with a direct swimming action.

The Bluefish BF160–235mm FG offers a large baitfish profile and a straighter, forward-moving swimming action. Carpenter particularly highlights this model for hiramasa feeding on mahi-mahi.

Official field reports document a 19kg hiramasa caught on the BF160 FG off Yamaguchi, Japan. Carpenter also reports a separate catch specifically on the FG-N during a mahi-mahi feeding pattern. The 19kg catch report does not identify the FG variant.

For the FG-N, Carpenter’s designer Kenji Konishi describes working the lure with the rod held low, limited line slack, and short, fast strokes. A rod with sufficient power to overcome the lure’s pulling resistance helps produce the intended action.
